Hi! My name is Ted, and I’m the owner of createTED Coaching—and a fellow creative. I specialize in helping creatives and purpose-seekers step into their next chapter with clarity and confidence. My Story
You already know I help people embrace their next chapter. But let me tell you a little more about the journey that brought me here — and why I'm so passionate about supporting people like you.
I joke that I’m a recovering writer turned podcaster because I’ve been working on the same novel for over 15 years (and counting). I write poetry when the mood strikes. I’m married to an artist, and my daughter is a writer and editor — creativity runs through my family and my friendships. Most of the people closest to me are writers, artists, and musicians. I love creative people — they’re my people.
But what I’ve realized over the years is that while I love my own creative projects, what truly lights me up is helping others grow in their personal journeys. Whether it’s a friend stuck in self-doubt, a colleague wrestling with a big idea, or a client trying to break through a creative block — I’ve found myself listening, encouraging, and brainstorming ways forward. That’s when I realized: I’ve been coaching all along. Helping people see that they are worthy of their creative dreams and capable of making them real — that’s my true calling. I am a creator and a connector.
I believe everyone is creative. Whether you’re an artist, a writer, an entrepreneur, or someone simply trying to rediscover a spark that’s been buried — you have potential worth exploring and nurturing.
My own path has been anything but linear. By day, I design online courses. Along the way, I’ve been a 5th-grade teacher, a software trainer, a technical writer (yes — writing the instructions nobody reads), a web designer, an after-school program specialist — and more. I’ve had 26 jobs over my life, so I deeply understand change, reinvention, and what it takes to step into something new.
Outside of work, you'll find me collaborating on creative projects with my wife, learning new skills (right now it’s calligraphy and stained glass), podcasting, and cheering on my creative friends. I’ve built a life surrounded by creativity — and now, I’m here to help you build yours.
